adam housley live for us in denver. we are now getting a look at what's happened in colorado springs. huh, adam? >> yeah, jon. that waldo canyon fire is the one you are talking about. more than 300 homes destroyed. more than 17,000 acres burned. the fire still officially 55% contained but firefighters believe they have a very good handle on it. they did allow cameras back in to the mountain shadow neighborhoods the area hardest hit. our camera was there to capture some of the video you will see. many homes left destroyed, left in piles of ash. but then you will notice one home next door that was a wood-sided house with shingled roofs that is still standing and you don't know why it is still there but it is. neighbors are already starting to help each other out, starting rebuilding. the neighborhood was devastated by that wall of flames that roared through there last week. meantime the fire that is almost under control there is one of a number burning across the west. seven states, we have a map here to show you, seven s
